North Brevard Is Heating Up: Titusville, Mims and Port St. John

For a decade after the Space Shuttle program ended, Titusville was known as one of Brevard's best values. In 2026, it's one of the county's most competitive markets.

The numbers

In Q3 2026, Titusville's single-family median was about $305,000. It had 3.1 months of inventory, homes sold in about 50 days, and sellers got about 98.8% of list price. Port St. John was even tighter in September, with about 2.1 months of inventory and a $325,000 median.

Why buyers are heading north

It's the commute. Titusville is about 10 miles from Kennedy Space Center, compared with roughly 50 miles from parts of Palm Bay. With SpaceX, Blue Origin and NASA programs all active on the Cape, launch-industry workers want to live close.

New investment keeps coming. Relativity Space announced a $350 million project at Space Coast Regional Airport in Titusville.

What's being built

• The Shores at Tranquility: Upscale homes on the Indian River Lagoon across from Kennedy Space Center, built in phases, with a marina and town center planned.
• Brickshire by Stanley Martin: West Titusville new construction near I-95, reported in the upper $300s to $400s.
• Tacana Village at Verona by KB Home: South Titusville, reported from the mid-$300s.
• Rex Landings by Ryan Homes: Single-family homes with three-car garages.
• Christian Court: In April 2026, Eastern Homes revived a 72-townhome project on Garden Street that had sat unfinished for 20 years.
• Titusville Mall redevelopment: A $240 million mixed-use project planned to bring hotels, apartments, assisted living, shops and medical offices to US 1.

Mims: room to breathe

Just north of Titusville, Mims offers larger lots, custom and semi-custom builds, and many homes with no HOA. It's a good fit if you want land and don't mind a longer drive to the beach.
